This is the first episode of the Charlie Guard series.

Charlie Guard is the infant, in England, who is being prevented -- by the British government -- from being either taken to America for experimental treatment, OR EVEN being taken home by his parents to die there, with them, in a hospice-like setting.

Instead, the government has ruled that he must die, and must do so in the hospital.

How did we get to a place where the government tells you whether your children can live or die and what treatment you may pursue for their health?
