As the stock market suffered its worse day in three decades last week, a Midtown Bank of America branch in Manhattan saw lines of people at its ATMs. Customers were draining cash from their accounts, sometimes tens of thousands of dollars at a time.The demand was so great that the branch could not cope and temporarily ran out of hundred dollar bills.
