Grief looks different for everyone, especially children, who deal with loss in different ways depending on their age, developmental stages and personal affect.

We spoke to Susan Coale, Director of the Hospice of the Chesapeake’s Chesapeake Life Center to discuss how families and children process grief, and how others can help kids through the process. Included in the discussion is what grieving looks like in children, how to identify when they need outside help, and what grief support services look like at the Chesapeake Life Center, which hosts summer bereavement camps.
