When I think about the Christmas story, I think about it with sweetness and affection. But reading through the story on my own and really diving into what was happening and why it made me realize that the Christmas story, although is a story of hope, is really a story of faithfulness and overcoming obstacles in order to fulfill God’s calling. The hope not only comes from Jesus being born and what that means for us as sinners but the hope also comes from seeing how God can make the impossible possible and that if God wants it to happen, it will happen.
