Even though Delhi might be the centre of attention when it comes to India's air pollution crisis, Mumbai, the country's financial capital and its most populous city, has been witnessing a steady decline in its air quality. To the point that it often experiences air quality much worse than the national capital.

In fact, records analysed by The Indian Express and data obtained by the newspaper under the Right to Information Act show a pattern emerging, which was highlighted in the series 'Death by Breath.'
