We know that sometimes plans are made on the fly.  However, if and when you have a large group, it only takes a few minutes to call ahead and give a restaurant or bar a fair warning that you're coming with that group.  At the very least it gives the establishment a heads up and a little time to prepare to give you the best service.  So now you can listen to what we think about when you don't call ahead.
