 I started as volunteer FF in Spring Valley NY back when I turned 18 at Rockland Hook & Ladder Dept 17 (Also the same department where recently Jared Lloyd lost his life at Evergreen Terrace Apartments.) My parents decided to move after 9/11 as it affected my dads limo business and we came to North Carolina. In Carolina I found a volunteer department to join and remained an active volunteer for 13 years climbing to the rank of Asst Chief Of Training before I got married and moved. I got hired in Mooresville in 2007 while also remaining an active volunteer. I’ve been assigned to an Engine company for most of career until last year when I decided it was time for a change and transferred over to a Ladder company.
