The invasion of Poland in 1939 was a significant event in the history of World War II. It was the first major military conflict of the war and marked the beginning of a new phase of the conflict that would ultimately lead to the defeat of Nazi Germany. The invasion was a result of a series of events that had been unfolding in Europe since the end of World War I. In this essay, we will examine the background to the invasion, the events leading up to it, the military campaign itself, and its consequences.
