The reading is about working on our recovery every day and always keep our guard up. Why do we need that? Because it's really easy to slip back into gambling, drinking, or whatever addiction we have. If we aren't careful and don't work our program, we could replace our old addictive behaviors at any time with equally unhealthy new ones, that may be harder for us to see.
