One of the implications of many policies implemented in the colonial era of Indonesia made it possible for the emergence of groups of workers and employers, and the establishment of factories and plantations in Indonesia. Especially the power relationship among them can be observed in modern Indonesia, which could be said that it was a legacy of the colonial era. Due to the longlasting of the reign of colonizers, the values that applied in the society during the time are deeply ingrained in the culture and therefore reproduced in the course of time. So much so that this particular colonial legacy is subconsciously passed down to generations, which also contributes to the problem of its eradication through unlearning. Due to the magnitude and the complexity of the problem, we find that it’s important to shed light on it and spread awareness.
