My guest today is Lee Spencer - Lee was born in Dagenham, but made in The Royal Marines. Lee lives in Devon and was a serving Royal Marine for 24 years. After coming through three operational tours of Afghanistan unscathed, Lee lost his right leg after being hit by an engine block as he was helping a motorist who had crashed into the central reservation of the M3 in Surrey in 2014. In this episode, he shares his remarkable story - from a young man desperate to join the Marines and grappling with imposter syndrome, to his devastating injury, recovery and incredible ocean rowing exploits. This is a must-listen episode and I truly hope you take away as much from this chat as I did.
