Digital news in November 2021 was nothing short of exciting and informative. From the creation of a digital embassy in the Metaverse by Barbados - a significant move that positions them at the forefront of innovation, to the Council of Europe Budapest Convention Additional protocol which seeks to identify and define cybercrimes and their reach across borders. Additionally, the launch of the European Startup Nations Alliance added to the growing role of startups and innovation in driving the digital agenda globally. Finally, the announcement of Meta’s cryptocurrency wallet project that may allow users to send and receive money through WhatsApp is potentially game-changing, given the vast reach of the messaging app.
