“2424” was the address number of my apartment in Chicago where I got my dream job, survived a pandemic, and overcame personal trauma through therapy and a healthy dose of meditation and yoga, now I am in NYC, but the number/home is dear to my heart. This podcast will be a home to reflect and have open conversations with friends in and out of my industry, family, artists, thinkers, people of the internet, really any lovely human I can or just me on topics that impact how we spend our time alone and in community with one another. Each podcast will be a space to speak without shame, but with respect to the diversity of thought inherent in all our communities."

To take a step back, in the modern digital age we are in constant interaction with the one infinite loop…social media, emailing, texting, and back again. Even as I was writing this I got stuck in the loop. Over the past couple of years, I have dived deep into the world of advertising and cultural consulting and have gained a deeper understanding of how digital capitalism has consumed our time in ways that can be truly draining. After reading the book, "Another Way" by Stephen Lewis, Matthew Wesley Williams, and Dori Grinenko Baker I discovered the leadership practice of "C.A.R.E"

C= Create Hospitable space

A= Ask Self-Awakening Questions

R= Reflect Theologically/Philosophically

E= Enact the next most faithful step

This lead me to craft a podcast centered on those practices to guide conversations into deeper territory for fruitful creative insights.

Lastly, it's important to note the pandemic significantly changed our ways of working, so it became critically important to examine the care I had for myself in relationship to the time spent in productivity. Our ways of working in the United States of America are unsustainable and are evolving from capitalism born from exploiting black and brown bodies. So it truly is time to reassess and create new foundations focused on human flourishing and not human capital.

So, if you like taking time to reflect on how things can be and call yourself to wonder. You'll be able to find my podcast on my Website, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify, two times a month starting on Nov.15. So come on in, get comfortable, and thank you for spending time at 2424.
