Alert, alert! The New York Metropolitans are red hot! After a rather meh start to their season, at least on the field, the Mets have ripped off seven straight wins, cementing them in the top spot in the NL East. In this rendition of Flushing 411, I compare and contrast this streak to some recent Mets streaks, discuss what's gotten us going so well, and ponder whether this is a sign of more things to come. Life is full of great people, great things, and... well there are a ton of fantastic components to life. If I (Omar Noujoum, host) have learned one thing during the COVID pandemic, it's that those great people and things are to be cherished. With 23 Cents, I am setting out to connect you all with many of the best people, stories, debates, and more that make my life just a little bit brighter each day. There will be funny episodes, there will be serious episodes. There will be childish debates over trivial things, and deep dives into my life & passions, as well as the passions of others.
