In this opening episode of Season 2, Danni Washington speaks with "Chief Mermaid" Anna Oposa. Anna is a Filipina ocean conservationist and the co-founder of <a href='https://www.savephilippineseas.org/'>Save Philippine Seas</a>, an organization that aims to protect coastal and marine environments through education and community-based projects.
 
Oposa dives deep on the work she has done to change the narrative around her native seas and the communities that rely on a healthy ocean. From work with local governments to protection of thresher sharks to the best marine puns, Anna gives a wonderful glimpse into the beautiful Philippine seas that she and her nation are working hard to protect.
