In the third and final part of a mini-series titled 'World of Opportunity', I speak to Sam Worthington-Leese, Spitfire Pilot and Trustee of the Hawker Typhoon Preservation Group.
Sam talks us through the many challenges he's faced to fulfil his dream of qualifying to fly the Spitfire, and also how he's using that same drive, determination and resourcefulness to restore one of the last remaining Hawker Typhoons in the world so it can act as a flying memorial to all those that supported and operated them during WWII.
Sam also touches on how he has managed his finances during this whole process, including property investment, which has enabled him to achieve the remarkable feats that he has.
