This week we discuss a scam. A content scam. This isn't something new as people steal jokes, designs, and all manner of intellectual property all the time all throughout history. This is just the most recent example and one were the perpetrators have filmed the evidence themselves with timestamps and geotags; primitive technology content creators. If you're not familiar with these types of channels, there is one man who was at the forefront of primitive technology content, John Plant. Every structure and tool he has built is 100% legitimate. However, as his popularity grew, so would the copycats who wanted nothing more than to monetize the trend. Where John Plant was one man filming, editing, and making all the content, channels like Primitive Technology Idea and others would hire entire crews and architects as well as rent bulldozers, backhoes, and water trucks to speed up the process. And they left all the clues that they were faking the arduous process it takes to built a kiln or makeshift shelter. Well, that's not 100% true as the they mostly built things that would not at all be useful in a survival scenario like slides, semi truck shaped "shelters", and pools filled with actual alligators. Oh, also, these builds also devastate the local environment where they leave the trash of concrete, plastic packaging, and empty bottles at the build site.
