Welcome back to Shoot the Gap: A Football Podcast. It is Superbowl Week and we are painting Miami red. As the San Francisco 49ers, in search for their 6th Superbowl ring, take on the Kansas City Chiefs who are back to the Superbowl for the first time since Superbowl IV, fifty years ago. Patrick Mahomes leads the charge with a high scoring offense of the Kansas City Chiefs. They have no shortage of weapons with Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and company, but standing in their way is a young and hungry 49ers defense with a front four that gives opposing QBs nightmares, and a secondary led by Richard Sherman, who are second to none and are ready for the challenge. On the other side we have Jimmy Garoppolo, who is trying to prove he belongs. To support him he has the people's tight end in George Kittle, and a three headed monster of a running game featuring Raheem Mostert, Tevin Coleman and Matt Brieda. After coming off of a huge game where they silenced King Henry, the Chief's defense has other plans for the 49ers. Me and Co-Host Ant Julz take a look at the match up and give our predictions. 49ers vs. Chiefs, in what appears to be a Superbowl to remember.
