The Genesis promise, the patriarchal promises made with Abraham. God changes his name from Abram, meaning a high and exalted father, to Abraham, father of many nations. Sarah's name was also changed from Sarai, meaning princess to Sarah a noblewoman, the bearer of sons who would be the seed of many nations. Jesus promises us a new name in Glory.
