First up we have poet and writher Shane McPhee, listen in as he recites his latest poem called "Meant to be"
Next up we have Mike and Gail Achin, hear their story about writing a children's book called Starkinson's:
Starkinsons is about a star that has Parkinson's Disease. He hides behind the moon hoping no one notices something is wrong. He soon finds out that even with this diagnosis there are activities he can do that will help him to "Stay Bright!"
Last up, Gavin and I interview Michael S Fitts as he discusses his journey with Parkinson's
Michael's bio: In 2001  became the first African American faculty member of the Lister Hill Library of the Health Sciences and later went on to become both the first African American assistant director and assistant dean.
In 2015, Michael was appointed to the UAB/Lakeshore Research Collaborative — an organization whose primary goal is to promote the health and wellness of people with disabilities.
In addition to his more than 20-year career with UAB, he serves as an advocate for the education of those with early-onset Parkinson’s by being as an example of living successfully and productively with the disease.
