This week, we ventured to the lost city of Hamunaptra to open the Book of the Dead and dissect Stephen Sommers' epic blockbuster The Mummy! We talk about the dangerous conditions surrounding the filmmaking process, the massive amount of groundbreaking CGI that is present throughout the film, and why there really aren't films like this one being made today. It's a lengthy episode, starting all the way back in the 1920s with the discovery of the ancient tomb that would inspire The Mummy and numerous films before (and after) its release.
Next week, we venture to the United Kingdom for the lovely romantic-comedy Notting Hill.
