Doni Landefeld is a leadership coach, writer, organizational psychology consultant and the creator of Lead Yourself First© - a system to inspire a deeper mastery of personal leadership style within her clients. Leveraging her leadership experiences in academia, non-profit Boards, small business ownership and symphonic music, Doni is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders and unleashing greater potential in senior-level leaders. Her clients refer to her as a strategic thought partner who listens deeply and focuses on effective communication, mental resilience, optimism, collaboration, vulnerability, empathy, and self-actualization. Now enjoying the prime time in her life and the wisdom afforded from 50+ years of life experiences, she inspires her clients as they become stronger, more impactful leaders using positive intelligence and emotional intelligence as the conduit for their continual growth. Her philosophies include treating others as they wish to be treated, ongoing growth and development of herself and all those she serves, and a playfulness and mindfulness that comes from being a musician and how it symbolically represents a harmonization of emotions that leaders may leverage. Doni is most interested in serving leaders and teams who are excited about their growth potential and committed to continually raising the bar to achieve excellence. When she's not serving clients, Doni is either performing on stage as a classically-trained double bassist (and a little electric bass) or enjoying all activities pertaining to the salt life where she resides in Cape Coral, FL with her family and beloved dog.
Education includes a BS in Music Education, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policies, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology. She's a certified Advanced Personal and Executive Coach through the College of Executive Coaching, an ICF-certified coach, a certified Emotional Intelligence assessment administrator/interpreter/coach and a certified Positive Intelligence coach. Memberships include the International Coach Federation, American Psychological Association, Above Board Chamber, Society for Human Resource Managers of Southwest Florida, and Southwest Florida Business Network.
