EXAMEN: The Daily Examen is a midday/evening meditation technique that incorporates awareness, gratitude, reflection, and vision. The Examen Remixed is an adaptation from Ignatius Loyola’s original practice found in his Spiritual Exercises. This practice teaches us how to find the Spirit in our relationships, challenges, frustrations, and feelings that we are experiencing in the present moment. In this “remix” you will be led through the principles of the traditional Examen, while also being given the opportunity to reflect on quotes for thinkers, philosophers, artists, etc.
THE PROCESS:
Known to his friends as simply Gonz – he has taken his personal experience as a business executive, community advocate, director of spiritual formation, dean of students, classroom teacher, father, and recovering alcoholic to high schools, churches, all city and state conferences, retreats (corporate and spiritual), and in treatment centers throughout Wisconsin. He has taught classes on Meditation, Social Justice, Spirituality of Nonviolence, Spirituality of Death & Dying, and Morality & Ethics. He states, "In essence, my objective is to inspire others to live creative and engaging lives.”
