THE QUOTE: "The terms 'spiritual experience' and 'spiritual awakening' are used many times in this book which, upon careful reading, shows that the personality change sufficient to bring about recovery from alcoholism has manifested itself among us in many different forms." - Pg. 567 - 4th. THE CHAKRA:Heart/Green/ Tone FHeart Chakra, 4th ChakraThe Heart Chakra - the wellspring of love, warmth, compassion, and joy is located in the center of the chest at the heart level. Heart Chakra moves love through your life. It is the center of your deep bonds with other beings, your sense of caring and compassion, your feelings of self-love, altruism, generosity, kindness, and respect. Heart Chakra is an integrating and unifying chakra - bringing to wholeness - as such , it is your healing center. Indeed, most spiritual traditions recognize love as the ultimate healing force. The energy of Heart Chakra allows us to recognize that we are part of something larger, that we are interconnected within an intricate web of relationships extending through life and the universe. Heart Chakra allows us to recognize and get in touch with the sacred and fundamental truth that runs through all of life and connects everything together.FOR YOUR OWN G NOTE CRYSTAL SINGING BOWL:
THE WHY:Every morning, at 4th Dimension Sobriety, we ask community members to participate in a non-denominational, non-religious, practice of group mediation and contemplation. Our mediation is based on the Upon Awakening, which is found on page 86 of the book Alcoholic Anonymous and conclude with 11th step prayer (The Saint Francis Prayer).
Exploring spirituality in the 11th Step can be a wonderfully illuminating process. This non-denominational, non-religious, practice of meditation is rooted in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. The 11th step helps us develop our conscious contact with God, resulting in a life rooted in a firm foundation. This daily practice leads to emotional balance and stability as we nurture our spirit and minds.
THE PROCESS:1) On Awakening...followed by silence and reflection 2) Reflect on a reading from the Big Book of Alcoholic Anonymous...followed by silence and reflection 3) The Saint Francis Prayer
