In this episode of 1050 Bascom, we were grateful to have the opportunity to talk to Prof. Melanie Murchison, a Lecturer in the Center for Law, Society & Justice. Prof. Murchison walked us through the Trump Administration’s legal challenges to the 2020 presidential election and offered her take on the role the media has sought to play in protecting the perceived legitimacy of the American electoral system. She also shared her insights on Oregon becoming the first state to vote to decriminalize all drugs and the potential impact on the criminal justice system.
