Trendy self-help quotes and simplified self-development tips end up getting misinterpreted and distorted into normalizing self-obsession. By taking a look at my personal experience and understanding of trusting yourself, I help you discover the power of breaking from conditioning and using the Self as a filtering mechanism. In addition, I explore how the current political and cultural climate of divisiveness takes advantage of people's desire to be seen as “good” and “virtuous”. These behaviors end up driving us away from our true selves and make us outsource knowledge to the point where we blindly trust the media, experts, and just about any entity other than our SELF. In the hopes of bringing you back home, I explain the negative impact of mob mentality behaviors, close-mindedness, and unconscious consumption by replacing those with accountability, service to others, and curiosity for exploring disagreement.
