The very successful radio show Suspense! premiered July 22nd, 1940 with this episode, the Lodger, which was directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

The Lodger- A poor housewife living in Whitechapel, London in 1888 during the time of Jack The Ripper , takes in a strange lodger.

The Burning Court- In a nice residential home a group of strangers are invited to share a glass of sherry near the fireside party and when seated a man appears and asks the hosts "Now, which one of your guests murdered your uncle last week?"
