<p>This is the true story of Elfego Baca- the young Mexican man who pinned on a tin badge and took on a bunch of cattlemen who were terrorizing his town. His story became legend- enough so that Disney brought his story to TV in the 50's as a regular serial. He later became a Marshall and defended the weak and the poor.</p>

He wrote "Washington is not a place to live in- the rents are high, the food is bad, and the morals are deplorable. Go west, young man, go west, and grow up with the country.
