The episode features two pioneering educators who are using technology to foster student empowerment and engagement. The first guest is Matt Warne, Head of Computing and Digital Learning at RGS The Grange, who shares about the Digital Leaders Program he initiated in his school. Through this program, students become teachers and share their knowledge about technology with their peers and teachers, fostering a culture of ownership, independence, and passion for learning. The second guest, James Tilden, a Year 4 teacher at Greenside Primary School, discusses how he introduced podcasting in his school, which has allowed students to practice a range of curricular skills, share their ideas, and improve their oral language skills. The podcast, which is listened to worldwide, has also facilitated better communication between the school and parents.
