Professor Carlene Firmin is a researcher, author and an activist. She is also the creator of the Contextual Safeguarding framework - a framework that calls for an individualised approach that takes into account context when dealing with child safeguarding issues.

In this interview we discuss a range of topics including Carlene's own upbringing and how this has informed her Contextual Safeguarding Framework and key life lessons she has learnt along the way.
