-9 can shed some light on this counterintuitive statement. One would reason that the more power experienced would guarantee growth and perseverance for believers. I would say in some cases this is not true. We compare John the Baptists&apos;s episode of imprisonment  with the multitude of experiences of some of Jesus&apos;s disciples and their reactions. What can we learn from this contrast?
